Materials
The material list is composed by three different parts that are made accordingly to the structure composition of the blimp:
- The electronics are the main mechanism for the blimp to function. They accomplish the task of maneuvering the blimp and control the amperage and volts of the input that the motors and servos receive. The parts include motors, servos, ESC ,Receiver, Hydrogen fuel cell and Arduino circuit board.
- The hull is the mainframe of the blimp and relies on low internal pressure to maintain the shape of the airship.
- Further structure parts are the mounts for the motors and the fins, also the hydrogen tanks and remaining components. They hold everything together and are fixed to the hull.
Electronics
The UAV contains two motors, both placed in the lower front of the Airship, one on the left (MotorL) and one on the right side (MotorR). Both are brush less out runner with about 15g weight and a 2 blade propeller each. The motors are over sized to gain a high top speed. The Electronic System Controller (ESC) runs out of 10 Amperage, controlling the motors rpm and voltage that pass through them. Motors and ESC are connected by three wires. The circuit board used for the operation of the UAV is an Arduino UNO (figure 1). This will control and regulate the …(list all systems). The 6.4 GHz receiver will be connected to the Arduino board and will regulate the output and input of current passing through the circuit. Soldering is also needed to prepare the Arduino and to fit all the cables to the correct length. All solder joints would be isolated to avoid any short circuit between them. The servos would be used to rotate the fins that are located in the sides of the blimp and give directions in the vertical and horizontal plain for movement of the blimp.
